What is Bixby!!
Simply put, Digital Assist is a digital assistant that relies on voice recognition and artificial intelligence to perform various commands required by the user. Based on this definition, there seems to be no difference between Bixby and Google Assistant or other digital assistants such as Microsoft's Cortana or Siri.

What is unique about the new assistant is that it is designed to execute commands for the phone itself and understand user behavior over time, meaning it is not built to be a smart "search engine" like Google Assistant, but another way to control the phone and its applications and equipment more accurately. In this way, you can say that the users of the Galaxy S8 phones will be able to get an excellent assistant for Internet search tasks and get excellent answers to their questions thanks to Google Assistant, with the help of another assistant to perform their functions and use their smartphone as best as possible Bixby.
How Bixby Works!!
- In order to activate and use the new plugin, Samsung has provided several different methods:
- Press its button and located to the left of the screen below the volume control buttons
- Use the "Bixby" voice command
- Pulling the main interface of the phone to the left will cause the new helper interface to appear
No matter how the plugin is activated, the user will get the same result: Get a new user interface for tasks that can be done via Bixby. Basically, Samsung says it has four basic features:
Voice control:
One of the most important things about smart aid is the ability to perform different tasks using voice commands. This is the most prominent feature to be obtained from Bixby, where the user will be able to take a picture and send it to a friend using voice commands - for example.
Vision:
This feature is related to what can be seen through the phone's back camera. The Smart Assistant can identify and provide information about things that are presented to the user, such as pictures of famous features or consumer products, and even read QR-Code codes and identify their content.
Reminder alerts:
Users will be able to customize different alerts via the new Smart Assistant.
Home Page:
Through this integrated page within the Assistant, the user's activities will be displayed across various applications in his smartphone, such as conversations, chat messages, photos taken by others, and the view will be customized to fit the user's wishes.
Availability and support:
At present, the new assistant will be available on the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus phones and Samsung's leading mobile phones such as Galaxy Note 8. There is no information about the company's intention to offer a helper to its previous phones, such as the Galaxy S7.
Also, regarding language support, the Smart Assistant only supports English and Korean, with promises from Samsung providing support for other languages soon. With regard to Vision and its support to identify different products during shopping, it is currently supported only in the United States, Britain and Korea, and will also be offered in other countries.
What do you think of Samsung's inclusion of the new Bixby assistant on the Galaxy S8? Do you think it's an important addition, or do you prefer to control the phone completely by touching without any smart help? Share your opinion in the comments.
