The success story of Pixel phones does not seem to be problem-free, and this was evident from the start with the various software problems that emerged after the launch of the phones, especially after the various updates, which also extended to Nexus phones. The latest of these problems is what appeared in the newly updated version of the Android version 7.1.2 Noga which seems to have caused a sensitive fingerprint stop working.
According to user reports and complaints, the fingerprint sensor has stopped responding after loading and installing the latest update, and some have said that deleting all existing fingerprints and then restarting the device and then entering the fingerprint again did not work. There seems to be a software problem that prevents the sensor from working or responding.
Currently there is no official response from Google on the subject, and the list of phones experiencing this problem include Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X. What you can do right now is to register a complaint on the official page for Pixel Phone users: Click here, or on the official NEXUS phone support page: click here.
